Case Recap: Cédrika Provencher

Cédrika Provencher  disappeared on July 31, 2007 from Trois Riviere, Quebec. Witnesses said she was last seen riding her bike between 6 and 8 p.m. on that Tuesday, asking people in her neighbourhood if they had seen a lost dog. Cédrika did not have a dog of her own, and has not been seen since.

Police conducted ground searches of areas surrounding Trois Riviere, and eventually found her bicycle and bicycle helmet abandoned. As the community rallied around Cédrika’s family, distributing hundreds of posters and even raising a billboard with her picture, police employed many tactics in an effort to gather information, including setting up road blocks and questioning drivers in the area, believing that area residents may have seen something they did not realize was important information.

  1. Cedrika is on my mind constantly. I haven't stopped thinking about her since I first read about her abduction. It's been so long, and still nothing, no sighting, no trace. I hope with all my heart she is found soon, and safe. It's so hard on the family, too, I can't even begin to imagine. I'm lighting a candle tonight in the hope that she is found soon.

    Pour Cedrika!

  3. Hi, I live in Gatineau Quebec and I keep a poster of Cedrika taped to my car window in hopes someone some where will recognize her. The poster will not come down until she is found. May God's little angels watch over you Cedrika. You are not forgotten.

  5. one day a woman told me that she knew a claire-voyante that told her that the little Cedrika was buried underground not deep and something big over where she's at....and also close to her home....the claire-voyante never told nobody, because she was afraid for her life....this is not much but you never know.

  6. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I pray that this little child is brought home again. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and loss this family is going through. Please, let her go home. A note, pinned to a message board in a grocery store, a phone call, it will only take a moment of your life, but will ease a heart that beat in sinc with that child, carried under a mothers heart. If there is a drop of compassion, please.

  8. With the story of the 3 abducted women found in Clevand,USA this week I once again thought back to the story of Cedrika. Although I am not from the Trois Riviere area and have no connection to the family, and it seems everyone around me has long since forgotten this story that was top of the news for many days 6 years ago, this story still hunts me to this day.

  9. I was living in Montreal, in 2007, when Cedrika was abducted. It was so touching to hear about her sad story. From time to time I still search on internet trying to find any news about the case. I also thought about Cedrika this week, after the 3 Cleveland abducted women were found alive.
